The Unconventional Wedding Festival is an innovative new wedding showcase designed to meet the changing desires of the modern couple.

With more couples than ever looking for ways to make their wedding more personal, The Unconventional Wedding Festival offers couples a way to find inspiration, get practical wedding planning advice and connect with suppliers who can help them turn their wedding vision into reality, all while enjoying a fun day out.

The Festival is aimed at a diverse range of couples, from those looking for a few quirky touches for their big day right through to those planning a full-on themed wedding.

The Festival Experience

Festival goers will be able to wander around the site visiting our 8 styled Zones, ranging from more mainstream themes, such as Boho, Vintage and Festival to more niche ones, such as Fantasy and SciFi.

Visitors will feel as if they are walking into a real wedding, being able to witness (mock) wedding ceremonies, look around fully dressed reception venues, sample the delights on offer from the Food and Drink vendors, and enjoy the wide range of entertainment on offer across the site.

As well as our themed Zones, visitors will also find a Pop Up Hotel and Spa, Style and Inspiration Zones, an Emporium, and a range of deluxe Experiences they can try. And if they fancy treating themselves, they can upgrade to our VIP Experience, which includes access to an exclusive VIP area with comfy seating where they can kick back, enjoy a drink and plan the rest of their day.

Our Vision

Our first Festival will be held at Stanford Hall in the Heart of the Midlands on 11-12 May 2019 with a further Festival planned in the South West in Autumn 2019.

Our Vision is for each Festival to become an annual event with additional Festivals added in other Regions across the UK from 2020.

Target Audience/Reach

We are expecting in excess of 3,000 visitors over the course of the Festival weekend. We have a comprehensive marketing and PR campaign in place, with the latter being delivered through Propose PR. Our visitors will be predominantly 25 – 35 year old couples and their entourage. We are expecting a higher percentage of females. However, we anticipate the number of males attending will be higher than at conventional wedding fairs due to the fun factor and the appeal to a diverse range of people. Our Festival goers will be predominantly from the ABC1 socio-economic group with a joint average income of approx. £69k. Their average wedding budget is £20k
